Thougths From an Artist Who Misses Her Paints
I miss my paints and my paint brushes. Right now they're in storage while I'm staying down here in Mexico. However, I do feel that this break will help with my creativity. It'll be interesting when I do pick up the paintbrush again - just to see where my mind takes me.
Usually when I start painting, I don't have any idea what the final piece is going to look like. I just go with the flow and let my mind wander. Sometimes I'll start out with one thing, but end up doing something totally different.
This painting here was done a few years ago. I love Impressionist painting and one of my all-time favorite artists is Monet. I went to see an exhibit in Las Vegas not too long ago with paintings of Monet...I was in awe.
Oh, I'm itching to start painting again! After doing quite a bit of writing, I feel it's time for a change...
