Life Lessons From Vincent Van Gogh
Starry, starry night.
Paint your palette blue and grey,
Look out on a summer's day,
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul.
Shadows on the hills,
Sketch the trees and the daffodils,
Catch the breeze and the winter chills,
In colors on the snowy linen land.
Now I understand what you tried to say to me,
How you suffered for your sanity,
How you tried to set them free.
They would not listen, they did not know how.
Perhaps they'll listen now.

One of my favorite artists of all times is Vincent Van Gogh. Although I do love all of the impressionist artists, Van Gogh is at the top of my list next to Monet. I find it very interesting how a man who was thought of as being highly emotional and erratic could produce such beautiful pieces. It was as if that was the only way that Van Gogh could express himself. Although all this chaos was going on in the physical realm of his life, his paintings told a story of a man who was in tune with his spirit.
Vincent Van Gogh is the perfect example that there is beauty in everybody, eh? I’ve also learned something from Van Gogh - to do what you love no matter what people say and to keep persisting no matter what circumstances you face in life.
